Dressing Room Diary for 4th of July Sale at Talbots

I got on Talbots just in time this week and saw that everything was 40% off. The lighting in the dressing room, let’s say, unusual, so i look like i have the flu in most of these photos but i’m fine. Today I have a new dressing room diary for the 4th of July Sale on Talbots.

For reference, I’m 5’4″ tall and weigh around 142 pounds. I have broad shoulders, straight hips, a long torso, and long arms. I usually buy a top size larger. I want you to see what’s in store and get some style ideas. To help you understand how things work, I’m listing the sizes I wear. Most Talbots clothing is available in miss, petite, plus and plus petite.

this fun skirt it has a bright red and white nautical pattern that gives me a very 4th of July feel. It’s a cotton/spandex blend and fully lined, which I always appreciate in a skirt or dress. It hits the knee with lengths of 19″ misses, 18 1/2″ petite, 21″ plus petite, and 20″ plus petite. This skirt also has a side zipper that flatters the tummy area as it keeps it as smooth as possible. I’m wearing it with this is the perfect shirt and one open seam sweater around my shoulders. The sweater has a nice polo collar and airy knit.

Here’s a better look at the classic, no iron white sleeveless shirt. It comes in black or white and is the perfect little shirt to go with so many things. Talbots calls it PERFECT, and I agree. Here, I put it in Chatham ankle pants Biscayne blue. Big size Here. It also has side zippers and smooth waistbands, so sweaters and tops glide nicely in the front. Side zippers are so flattering! These are a cotton/rayon blend with 6% elastane, so they really hold their shape. These have 28″ inseams which is too long for me, but 25″ which is too short for my petite me.

this is great little Shibori print dress It’s a very easy, one-time style. It’s a bright blue with white that my phone can’t capture. By itself, the side belt adds a nice shape but doesn’t quite fit the torso. It is intended to be at or above the knee but this length works for me. In some reviews, it is stated that there are compatibility problems in the armpits, but I did not have a problem with this.

This T by Talbots small polo dress Comes in four great colors. Made of lightly textured piqué fabric that provides UPF 50+ protection. You can add sandals and a straw bag, or it would go very cute with some. her white skin and one baseball cap to run the business.

I couldn’t wait to try this linen jacket And I finally got my chance. I’ve found it works big so you can easily shrink it down. It comes in four great colors, but this store only had the red patio for me to try with a coral color on it. It is 100% linen and has a drawstring for a snug fit at the waist. I wear it simply striped jersey tee And thin white ankle jeans. These jeans are a classic, customers favorite shape for Talbots who are a cross between skinny and straight.

This black and white pattern The dress felt great. Jersey is smooth and cool to the touch. With a length of 39 3/4″ for the misses, 37 3/4″ for the minions, and 41″ for the pluses, it’s a gear shift style meant to hit the knee. A sweater style that will pack and travel like a dream. This dress can fit up or down depending on the accessories and shoes you choose. Can be worn down.

These comfy chino pants come here are eleven solid colors, plus this fresh blue and white palm print. It is a cotton/spandex blend and reaches just below the waist. Leg length is variable depending on how you roll and unroll them. The website says: Rolled inseam: Missing: 27″; Petite: 24 1/2″; Plus: 27″; Plus Petite: 24 1/2″ Unopened inseam: Missing: 29 1/2″; Petite: 27″; Plus: 29 1/2″; Plus Petite: 27″. I’d roll them one more time for myself because they look better by showing a little wrist. open stitch sweater it is a gorgeous blue and also comes in bright orange or rose. 100% cotton is perfect for hot summer nights or severe air conditioning.

This T is running out fast. It has an anti-odor fabric that will be useful especially in steamy weather and active sports. Made in the USA from anti-bacterial fabrics that are sustainable and effective in odor control. Talbots had a lot great scores are here. This cotton/spandex, easy on and off style and is 17″ long. Small option is 16 1/2″ long plus 19″.

This dress retails from $169 to $39.99. It is made of 100% cotton like the lining. I’m assuming it’s flagged as it requires a strappy bra and many women just can’t deal with it. I believe women should have a versatile lingerie collection that fits well and meets the needs of a variety of garments. Halter or convertible bra is one of them. Its narrow and wide shape beautifies the figure, and the fabric can not be cooler for summer.

this twist front top It seemed small to me, so I would go to a setting as it was convenient. The twist is somewhat asymmetrical and is not intended to go straight forward. It also comes in black. These girlfriend jeans shorts It is a cotton/polyester blend with a touch of spandex for stretch. It is a figure flattering shape with a cuff that you can roll to your preferred length.

Sales will be pretty epic at most retailers this weekend. Make sure you only buy things that look great on you and fulfill a need in your wardrobe.
