Dressing Diaries – Recent Finds in Cool Colors at J. Jill

Good Friday ladies. I’m used to going to J. Jill’s to find a flood of warm colors, so I was pleasantly surprised last week.

If you’re new here, welcome. The locker room diary is when I go to a local store for a trial session so you can see what’s new and how it looks on a woman over 25. For reference, I’m 5’4″ tall and weigh about 134lbs. I have flat hips, broad shoulders, a long torso, and long arms. I usually get a size up on the top. I want you to see and get some style ideas.To help you understand how things work, I tell you what sizes I wear.

J.Jill has made it easy to resize each style so that it is now available in r.organised Size XS-4X. Petite and tall are still available in some popular styles and all sizes are the same price.

These J.Jill’s boot jeans in a thin raw skirt that flew out of my local store. These 8 petite are too big and short for me but it was my only option to show you so I ordered a pair 🙂 They have a high waist and a soft wash. They are currently 30% off. this 3/4 sleeve Pima cotton T-shirt Available in 8 colors and 1 flower print. It is low hip length, so you can wear it over tight pants or leggings. Medium petite would be better for me because body length is most important on 3/4 sleeves. I wear the clear water color that looks baby blue on their website, it’s closer to a periwinkle in person.

I threw this sweater poncho on your gaze. I love the shape of this poncho, which will look great on many things this fall. It comes in ink blue or birch color.

These slim ponte pants comes with a deep navy and 3 other neutrals… currently 30% off. Pull-on styles make them super easy to wear, and the faux front means you can wear them with shorter tops. The fabric is easy care and great for travel, too! I find this little petite a touch short on me so they stick with their size as most petite pants are too short for me. They’re also 30% off right now.

white tunict also comes in black which would be fun too linen heather these twill pants. The tunic is a cotton/polyester/spandex blend with plenty of stretch. 3/4 sleeves means that would be a much better length for me in petite too.

These thin leg pants worn It comes in 3 colors, I wear navy blue. I wear it normally, the hem is folded in one go. The petite inseam is a full 2 ​​1/2″ shorter, which seems like a big difference to me. kimono sweater it floats on me, but I was anxious to try this yummy color and it is the smallest size they have. The website says it fits the size, but the medium’s chest size is about 50 1/2″, so I suggest you downsize.

This casual v-neck sweater I wear a great basic in 4 colors, navy blue. I love how this sweater fits. It’s a lightweight knit that drapes nicely and will fold easily under things. great match with these slim leg pants for a cool toned color column 🙂

This is Tencel shirt it comes in the most striking delphinium color, white and this blue stripe. It has a very comfortable shape to squeeze or not to tuck. Medium back length is Medium 27½”, R 2X 29″, P Medium 26″, T Medium 29″. Surprisingly, these sleeves aren’t too short on me in this petite due to their relaxed shape, so I think it’s a bit baggy.

This soft luxury shirt really nice! It is a woven rayon that feels like silk and is machine washable. It comes in 4 colors, this is the midnight sky. It has an elegantly flared sleeve that showcases your bangles 🙂 The boyfriend jeans come in four colors with a rounded hem that you can adjust to any length you want. I’m wearing the Brooklyn wash. Pine green and the iconic wash are also cool toned.

This curved skirt knit shirt very soft and comfortable. It is cream in color and comes in this stunning cool toned peacock color. Cotton/Tencel/spandex blend, stretchy enough, I just pulled it over my head. I think this is big, so we recommend reducing its size. It has a slim shirttail hemline that looks beautiful untucked.

this long cardigan It comes in four colors, I wear sage blue. It is a cotton/modal blend that is thin enough for warm autumn days. I have a real fondness for V-neck cardigans because they cheat instead of fighting the collar of a button-down shirt.

this tunic top displayed on the hanger outside my dressing room that I “borrowed” to style for you. It looked like nothing was on the hanger, but I knew the hoodie would win. It has a slight A-line shape so I wouldn’t size it up as it’s plenty full. For me, I still prefer the petite one because their rear center lengths are regular 29½”, petite 28″ and tall 31″.
