Dress of the Week: Theory

For busy working women, a suit is often the easiest outfit to wear in the morning. In general, this is not about the feature interview suits for womenIt should be as classic and simple as you can get – instead, this feature is about slightly different suits that are trendy yet professional.

I mentioned this in last week’s Outfit of the Week, but I keep coming back to it in my mind as time goes on—isn’t this one? Great seersucker suit?

I’ve never been a huge fan of white/blue seersucker – somehow it sounds like you need a straw boater’s hat too – but many other “light” fabrics for the summer are very prone to wrinkling, and it’s often like, ‘I slept on the matter. The seersucker looks much better, at least in my experience.

(Also, I think this is still important. Wafer Day!)

I like the tapered jacket and wide-leg pants here—but there are also matching ankle pants, A-cut skirt, and a few more matching pieces.

(Also a wonderful royal blue seersucker blazeralthough the trousers seem to be out of stock.) Not my favourite, though: Macy’s has an oversized beige/white seersucker suit. Kasper.
