Straight-leg jeans may be the new trend, but leggings and jeggings are still going strong. A very flattering way to wear them is with a comfortable hooded tunic sweater. Here’s my current favorite and how a hooded tunic sweater would work for you.

I love soft stretchy leggings and jeggings and wear them all the time. These are my newest couple Jeggings from Talbots. Just like jeans, they have a traditional belt and zipper (or you can also get the pull-on type if you prefer) and are thick enough like regular jeans and you can wear them to any length. But I like that they wear them with this hooded tunic sweater. Why?

This sweater is a beauty. Look at that color. Color is a great way to make a statement, and this gorgeous pumpkin orange color announces Autumn loud and clear! It also comes in a stunning Foret Green and a cheerful Autumn Rose.

The classic lozenge pattern and tiny colored spots on the rope are also very beautiful. They create texture and texture is a great way to add richness and excitement to your outfit. This cowl collar tunic sweater is super comfortable too. It’s made from Talbot’s Kitty Tweed, an ultra-soft yarn that gives this sweater a luxurious look and feel.

There are also practical reasons why I love wearing this hooded tunic sweater. Sometimes I want to cover my stomach! If I’ve eaten a little too much, feel bloated, or just want to wear something that doesn’t show it all, I’m reaching for this sweater. I can relax and the long skinny silhouette is slimming too. A couple great booties with a small-medium heel it really helps to make this look work as well.

Another great thing about the cowl neck tunic sweater is that it is very flattering as the cowl neckline softens the neck while framing the face. If you’re feeling self-conscious about your aging neck, it’s much better than a turtleneck. You can wear your cowl collar higher or lower and it will always look beautiful as the soft curves give it a relaxed and elegant air.

I just wanted to add a style note. I like to raise the arms up. While it’s okay to leave loose sweaters and sleeves down, I think it looks more sporty and youthful if you push the sleeves up to 3/4 length. This way, you can wear beautiful jewelry that completes the look.

I wear my favorite jewelry designer, Dean Davidson. Dean’s jewelry is modern, stylish and thoughtful. Each of their collections has an exciting travel theme, and you can mix and match collections like I did here. wearing Manhattan chain link statement bracelet Inspired by Studio 54 in NYC in the 70s.
