Things are looking up. Everyone is feeling more optimistic and turned to multicolored sweaters for this fall. Lately I’ve been rocking a shiny new sweater Talbots i sent it my way and it does nothing but make me smile!

Bright pink is one of the warm colors of autumn and one of my favorites since it makes my aging skin look a little pale and pink always gives that baby a fresh glow. This is such a beautiful pink and I love how it turned out with my dark wash jeans, which is the on-trend wash this fall.
I also like the dark wash because it adds more formality to the outfit and balances the cheery vibe of the sweater.
You can wear this classic crew-neck with skinny-leg, straight-leg or wide-leg jeans. A traditional sweater like this fits any style.
And of course, there is nothing like cashmere! Very soft, comfortable and stylish.
A third piece always tops off a sweater and jeans, so another style idea for this colorful sweater is to contrast the fun feel with a sharp blazer. I’ve found this in my closet since last year and thought the gorgeous tailoring adds a chic flair.
Yellow goes perfectly with the bright fall mood, but if you want a more toned look, you can also easily go with a more neutral jacket like navy blue.
Preppy riding loafers, (similar) pointy heels, or even cute sneakers are perfect with this look that will take you all over the house for a fun night out.
You may have wondered if you can wear a colorful statement sweater with a message or a saying after a certain age, and of course there are no rules. But let me sum it up by saying that if you want to keep it on the classy side, you need to follow these guidelines:
1. Stick to a word or two rather than a long-winded promise. A short message looks more thoughtful, has more impact, and looks more refined.
2. Stick to quality fabrics and knits – This is a pink cashmere sweater. Cashmere is extremely elegant and elevates the message.
3. Balance your message sweater with clean, dark wash jeans. Lightly washed, frayed, torn, or very worn jeans will increase the “fun” feeling and look too small.
