I’m collaborating with Ann Taylor on an IG video, and I know from the feedback that many of you prefer photos over a meticulous look at the details! As always, I’d also like to add some additional information about the fit, fabrics and adjustments I made in the form of a longer blog post. I personally tend to lean towards creams and camels, but I also like to mix it up with a touch of color (I love a vibrant long coat), so I wanted to show some Autumn options for those who love neutrals and colors alike!

High Waist Side Zipper Straight Trousers
In regular and petite sizing
I shared the same pants last year (look at me) here) in a suede-like fabric, and they were instant readers’ favourites! Its rise and silhouette are elongated and flattering, and the latest twill fabric is a solid weight that stretches comfortably. they come in several colors and fabrics and a small inseam looks good on me with a medium-high heel. One of the reviews mentioned sizing, but if you’re familiar with her pants, I found these to run TTS for Ann Taylor. I tried “pearl blush” too, but opted for darker colors as the light color in this fabric accentuates my lower belly!
Belted High Waist Conical Trousers
Petite and regular sized
A classic trousers that you can wear in 4 seasons. These come in tan and black, but also in fun colors like orchid. For fit reference, I’m about 25 inches around the waist and the 00P had a small place on me there. They are cut loosely from the thighs and taper slightly towards the ankle. Has petite sizing 5 ft. 25 inch inseam that hits me full length (just below my ankle) at the neck. I know some people prefer this full length, but I personally like it above the ankle so I used it iron on hemming tape and shortened them by 1 inch (pictured below).
sheer blouse (5 colors)
AT is my go-to for drape blouses and this is a nice medium fabric backdrop that has a little structure but still drapes. It features feminine little details like gathers along the shoulders and thin puff sleeves.
Chesterfield jacket
This is the jacket of the season that AT has made in a variety of colors and fabrics. this “almond” color is a longer, fluffier mohair style fabric and “summer orchid” made of a finer, shorter-haired texture. This coat is cut more flatter than the body and fits more loosely on me, with the sleeves hitting about an inch below my wrist bone. In these photos, I folded them a little under to show the sweater sleeves, but full-length sleeves work well for someone my height.
