Animal print pumps: timeless or trendy? I’m not sure to be honest, but I feel like they come in style every few years if they’re trendy. I think it’s reasonable too much right now – there’s been a huge emphasis on wearing color on color with tons of texture, everyone has a lot of beige in their wardrobe and this year it’s really brown.
I did a mini update for Hunt. animal print pumps for office (see widget below) and fell in love with many of them; I think my favorite pair is this one from Aquatalia (pictured). Pointed toe, block heel, leopard print dyed calf hair – yes, yes and yes.
I find they are a great neutral for almost any basic work wear, but especially those with a predominance of black, beige or brown. I might try them out with some of the office leather looks we saw this year, but get to know yourself and your office because this can turn into a Peg Bundy look very quickly. I could also try them with some colors – jewel tones like magenta, deep teal, lipstick red for autumn, or maybe pastels like pale yellow or blue as spring approaches.
