I am a big fan of this brand as I have been using their products for over three years. NS Colleen Rothschild Birthday Sale It’s a great time to stock up on all your favorites or try something new I’ve made! Autumn; the leaves are drying up, so is my skin. My skin tends to be pretty dehydrated due to the weather, menopause, not drinking enough water, and possibly genetics. So I decided to try something new to fix this problem. Here’s what I got.
I love that all of Colleen’s products are built on top of each other, so I started with a cleanser and quickly moved on to a mask. I chose Luminous Cleansing Balm, NS Micromineral Soothing Toner, Extreme Healing Cream, Transparent Renewing Cream, Age Renewing Super Serum, Intense Moisturizing Mask.
NS Luminous Cleansing Balm It’s actually a backup for me as I use it all the time, and I’ve written about it before. This creamy, whipped yellow balm is like rubbing butter on your face. I am addicted to it. It’s thick and rich (but you don’t need much) and melts like butter when the heat hits your skin. I use it all over my face, including my eyelids and eyelashes.
If I’ve applied too much mascara, I usually massage my lashes and let it sit for a good minute before washing my face. A warm cloth works really well with this cleaner. It’s great to feel the warmth melting the balm on my face. It’s the feeling you get when you get a spa facial. After my skin is really plump and velvety. I can sleep like that (and sometimes I do), but it’s usually more hydrating. Oh, and don’t get me started on the heavenly scent. This is great!
Next toner. I’ve been using it for the past year Matcha Tea Care TonerIt’s very nice, but more like an antiseptic that absorbs oil and dirt. I just switched to Micromineral Soothing Toner (the pink color is so pretty!). It is more of a balancing toner and I love it. I actually shot double the first time I used it. I put some on a cotton ball, swipe it on my cheek, and it felt so different (more like lotion) that I picked up the bottle to see if I had applied the wrong thing. But no, it is a creamy toner. And after about 15 seconds, I started to feel that toning effect.
NS Micromineral Soothing Toner there are all kinds of beautiful soundings in it: rose quartz, rhodolite garnet, malachite extract. Natural minerals, all new to me, but especially for dehydration, lack of elasticity, etc. They help with things, so that’s great!
Next comes heavy night creams in my new routine. I use Extreme Healing Cream – (great name!) Used with Colleen’s Face Oil No9 Earlier, when you combine the two, it is very heavy and luxurious, but I was curious to try it. Age Renewing Super Serum. I like to use a serum with my deep night moisturizer. I think this 2 step approach makes a big difference.
Age Renewal Super Serum is impressive. I mix a few drops with Extreme Recovery Cream and I wake up feeling really fresh and plump. But what I really noticed is the shine. This powerful serum has 20 ingredients including collagen, peptides, amino acids, vitamins, plant extracts – I love this amazing beauty cocktail!
I’m taking it down a notch for the daytime. I use a lighter cream – Transparent Regenerating Cream, I find this combination of light creams that are oil-free, weightless, and hydrating best during the day and heavy-duty at night because if I have a heavy cream during the day, my makeup sometimes runs a little.
Another Colleen Rothschild product I just started using Intense Moisturizing Mask. This is my Saturday night ritual. I go to bed with a mask and my husband and I watch Netflix for a few hours. This mask has some interesting ingredients like Coral Grass and Micro Algae. It’s truly fascinating to read about all the natural products Colleen uses to create her skincare. What I put on my face feels good and I really enjoy this rich 15-minute moisturizing mask.
