As I get older, wrestling on a shoe while crouching, struggling with the buckles and laces is one of the last things I want to do. Whether I have to take off my shoes for airport security or rush out the door for last-minute work, I’m always grateful for a great pair of slip-ons that I can easily (and quickly) put on and take off. . I have a few tried and true go-to pairs that you can see me wearing almost every day. While researching for this post, I also found a few new pairs to add to my list of shoes to try.

These little beauties are simply magical. Now I have 3 colors. These super comfortable slip-on sneakers feature a suede upper with a supple rubber sole. They stretch and mold to your feet and are cool in hot weather. I machine wash mine and they look brand new. Remove the insole and wear jeans etc. into the machine with cold water and allow to air dry.

Ecco Lace-Up Sneakers

Plug-in version It comes in 7 colors. Eccos have a cushioned insole with arch support and a leather upper/leather and textile lining/synthetic sole. The insole is also removable so you can use your own custom orthosis.

I was very excited to try these because they are one of Easy Spirit’s favorite styles. These little Margaux ballet flats are pretty amazing. I discovered them a few years ago while searching for the most comfortable ballet flat. They come in seventeen colors in sizes 3-14, narrow, medium and wide. I have this metallic, pale gray and sky blue. They dress up or down and are very comfortable.

Rothy Loafers

I’m a big fan of Rothy’s loafers too. Their prints and colors change frequently, but the fit and comfort remain the same. These are made from recycled plastic bottles, so they’re a little comfortable but not stretchy, so buy your regular size.

I’ve worn my Birdies Starling loafers so often that I’m surprised they don’t fall apart….but they don’t! They are nice and wide for my bunion and make me feel comfortable all day long. I have black velvet which is perfect for winter and now my eye is on a light raffia pair for summer. They make lots of fun patterns and colors seasonally to change things up.

They come in a multitude of colors and prints from smooth soft leather, and they also come in large sizes. I’ve heard a lot of people rave about this style and how it has become their favorite shoe.

Skechers Go Walk Lite Boat Shoes

These Skechers slip-ons are the perfect combination of sport and everyday life. I can see these paired with a navy and white striped top for a classic nautical “coastal granny” vibe.

Munro Explorer

I have been wearing Munro shoes for many years. I own a few pairs of booties and a pair of loafers that have been in my rotation quite often this winter. Their shoes are always very comfortable, especially with my bunion. Their shoes are available in multiple widths in sizes 4-13.
