Autumn Trial Session at Chico’s

Good Friday ladies, the outfit I shared on Wednesday was a bombshell for most of you. It can be difficult to wear very long tunics (unless you are tall) because women appear larger and shorter than they are. I have a trial session today with some better proportioned items at Chico.

For reference, I’m 5’4″ tall and weigh about 136 lbs. I have broad shoulders, straight hips, and an inverted triangle shape with very little curves. I have a long torso and long arms, so I usually wear one size up on the top and bottom. .

I find a difference in most Chico’s girlfriend jeans, so I will tell you the height of the ones I tried. My long torso does best at the highest possible heights, but if you have a shorter torso you can opt for shorter rises so that your bra isn’t right under the band. These embroidered cuff jeans There is a steady rise that comes down to my waist. They come in normal and tall, 0-20 XXL. I’m wearing a 0R and I see they run TTS.

This is motorcycle jacket just gorgeous!! The softest shade of buttery and navy blue. It doesn’t have tons of extra zippers, so it looks neater than many moto jackets. Also available in sizes 00-22 in pale Eucalyptus green. Under the jacket, I’m wearing them Classic navy blue microfiber tank.

This tank is navy blue but I would switch to black to match it. these pull boot pants or this olive layered top to coordinate with the cardigan. The cardigan is a great weight and color for a warmer fall day. It is 00-22 in size and runs TTS. I think this would also be cute on dark jeans or anyone’s favorite. Complimenting Brigette pants in olive color, for a color column.

i love, i love love this Hidden Treasure convertible necklace. It is handmade, nickel free, 35% brass, 30% steel, 30% zinc, 4% plastic, 1% cubic zirconia. It’s not overly shiny so wear it up or down and it has a slightly rustic feel. You can adjust the layers and length to fit necklines or above.

I’m a big fan of no-iron shirts and Chico’s makes a great shirt. This spicy red so it turns tomato color instead of fire engine red. It’s a great length to wear over pants and also proportionate to go in. The shirttail hemline prevents it from looking blocky or square when you wear this shirt without folds. I also like to wear these shirts open as a sleeveless tank top or a third layer over a top.

these pants It has the classic 5 pocket style like jeans but in a heavy knit similar to a ponte. They come in 3 classic colors in sizes 000-20 including the ever proud navy. They stay tight up to the hips and calves but not tight at the calves.

This is girlfriend jeans The shawl is not as high as paisleys and it was a little big on me since it was outside my size. Available in 2 medium blue washes from 0-20.

This is satin blouse It has an asymmetrical ligament opening that appears to be quite open or closed depending on it. Sizes 00-22 this rich mahogany comes in stone or black. It doesn’t look petite, although there is a length listed for it on the website. This would be nicely dressed or worn with jeans and a furry cardigan. I’m wearing 1 so it runs TTS.

Everything goes pretty consistently inside Chico, but I think like most retailers, they carry less inventory in brick and mortar stores, so the best choices are made online.
