how to shape cream blazer suit petite spring combinations

I work with Ann Taylor. an instagram video and I got to pick a few spring arrivals to try and style! Now through Monday 3/19, Ann Taylor is running a buy more, save more promotion with 40% off for $250+, 30% off for $150+, and 25% off for $100+. Below are my reviews of some products that I have tried and would recommend!

Tied Cardigan

This is one of my favorite pieces from the Spring collection and can be worn with jeans or shorts at work and daily. I actually LOVE all 3 color combinations and really thought of going with fuchsia or emerald green, but I ended up going with my “safe” neutral navy + bronze combination. Strangely enough I don’t see them anymore, but before ordering I read a number of 5-star customer reviews about this cardigan in other color groups.

3 Staple Layer Tops

Here are a few versatile layering staples to wear alone or under a blazer or cardigan:

  • Refined stretch turtleneck top (3 colors). See this on me in black at the beginning My IG video. I’m a big fan of this one and would love the blue one too – the cut is simple yet elegant and you can easily wear this with a slip skirt or jeans on the weekend. The upgraded flexible material is comfortable and lightweight, and has a sleeker, smoother finish.
  • mockneck sweater shell (6 colors). You can see this paired with a cream colored suit below. Another great layering piece in sweater knit fabric. I love that both this and the first top piece above have a small mini fake collar that looks really timeless and doesn’t add any bulk to your neck. I also saw with cream jeans And a large trench.
  • Mixed jersey singlet (4 colors). I’ve had mine for years and it’s still one of the best layered shells I’ve come to reach for. While the first two tops above sit closer to the body, this tank top has a slightly looser and more forgiving build.

Frill Blouse

This feminine blouse caught my eye as soon as it came out, especially since I started getting more requests to share blue-tinted finds that would suit skin tones with fading beige and camel tones. I always recommend Ann Taylor poly blouses because they are machine washable, low maintenance and will last for years. This fits the TTS and I like that the slightly shorter sleeves don’t need to be pushed up. Also an income few other colors.

Crepe Blazer

This blazer is my top pick from the Spring arrivals and it also comes in classic black. The clean, collarless cut combined with the high quality “flowing crepe” fabric makes this feel comparable to My Theory pieces. there are several coordination breaks down (skirt, trousers, dress).

when worn with matching pants There is a new and eye-catching suit underneath, but I would like to state that the waist is too loose for me. Size 00 petite measures 13.25″ across the waist with a 10″ rise and 29″ inseam. The pants are fully lined with light beige fabric and I didn’t have any transparency issues.

The tweed skirt with tassel pockets is fully lined, but it is about 1 size wide and feels loose on me. The 00P measures 13″ at the waist, 17.5″ at the hips and is 18″ long.
