I have an editing mantra, and it’s out of sight, out of mind. So if you can’t see it to access it, you won’t wear it. From putting things on the same hanger (don’t do it) to clothes racks where you can’t even reach what’s behind. that’s why ito hang all my jewels where I can see them – so I was reminded to actually wear it!

Over the years I’ve tried a few different ways to organize my underwear, socks, and scarves in a number of ways, and I’ve found that for me having the ability to divide a drawer or shelf into smaller compartments is the easiest way to keep them organized.

Separating Item Types
If you find yourself trying to find different sizes of scarves or long leggings compared to shorter ones, dividing the space where you store them can really help make this a lot easier.
From using shoe boxes and luggage boxes (if they’re lying around) to custom storage boxes, you can make it easier to organize a larger space.
I like to use compartmented boxes to store my scarves on shelves – since shelves are terrible for storing most wardrobe items, things that often get lost behind them (I can tell you by experience of many “finds”) working with clients in their wardrobes as they discover items they forgot behind a shelf. By turning that shelf into a drawer using some sort of basket or box, you can access items from the back as well as from the front.

And I came across an ingenious way to store bras the other day (unless you want to put them in a drawer).
A simple trick to hanging them on hooks on the back of your wardrobe door! Removable hooks great if you’re renting or don’t want to damage the door!
