2 Stylish Ways to Tie a Scarf + Hood

Here in chilly Boston, scarf season is in full swing, and I wanted to share two styling methods I often rely on when walking out the door. I recommend you to watch Instagram reel for a video demo of each!

Side note, I’ve already given high praise in stories for the lip colors I’ve used here and it remains a combination I reach for every day. This is my first purchase from the brand and I am impressed by how incredibly creamy and smooth their clean beauty formula is. 1. Shoulder Tie Method

The over-the-shoulder swing you see everywhere is extremely impractical to me, as any wind or movement will inevitably cause it to unravel in a minute. Instead, I like this method where you tie the scarf once in front of you, then twist the tie over one shoulder. It looks stylish and looks so much better!

2. Double pre-stretching + tiktok trick

This is best illustrated in my reel video, but basically cross the scarf diagonally across the back of your neck and pull the tail ends forward. Then, tuck the end of each tail into the part around your neck.

As an added step, there’s a viral hack circulating on social media where you pull one of the scarf pieces up the back of your head like a hoodie. Initially I considered this look too “red riding hood” for me to really wear, but I’ve come to appreciate it when you forget the hat and the weather is too windy or cold!
